This story is absolutely heartbreaking. She's still missing.

Well, last night's gala dinner and concert was a rousing success, even though we lost our original entertainment around noon. We were supposed to have Smashmouth as the entertainment, but because of a family tragedy that occurred Tuesday night, one of the band members immediately had to fly out of state. Our crack event staff got on the phone and managed to get Fastball, who were rehearsing in Austin for a new record and tour, to make it up here in time to play, and we got to meet them before the show. Very cool guys, and they put on a terrific show. I'm all packed up to leave, and once our general session is over at 1, I'm off to the airport. I am so tired, but it's definitely been worth it. What a fun week.

I didn't get caught in those tornadoes last night, although the bus taking us to the ranch had to take cover under a bridge because of driving rain and golf-ball sized hail. The ranch was more fun than I expected. It's not every day that you get to see most of the VPs getting thrown from a mechanical bull.

Because my boss is a VP and all-around cool guy, I'm getting to meet the very well known alterna-rock band who is the entertainment for our gala closing dinner tonight. I'll be taking a camera and a Sharpie. Details to follow.

I'm in Dallas. It's hot and humid, but I had a great flight with two seats to myself. My name tag incorrectly identifies me as being from my company's German office, which has already become quite the conversation piece.

And Justice White has died.

I'm headed to Dallas in the morning, and will be back Thursday night. Posting will most likely be sporadic. Have a great week!
